We believe that every child has the right to a quality education and that all children should have spaces where they feel safe, where they can have fun and be themselves.
There are children all over the world who are missing out on their education as well as the chance to have fun and play sports because of gender, disability, poverty and prejudice. We want to change that.
At Skateistan, our Skate Schools provide safe spaces so that all children, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, economic situation or level of ability, can take part and be celebrated for who they are.
$20 can allow girls like Fatima to attend two sessions of Skate and Create so she can enjoy skateboarding and explore her creativity.
$50 can provide security guards for a day at our Johannesburg Skate School so that girls like Thandiswa can enjoy a safe space to skate.
$120 can pay for a child like Ali to attend three weeks of the Back-to-School program in Afghanistan, including transport, a healthy meal and learning supplies.
