One Week of Henna!!!

The girls at Skateistan have been using their artistic talent and creativity in many new and exciting ways. Henna is an important aspect of our culture; it is widely used in wedding ceremonies and Eid celebrations. In recent weeks these girls have made some beautiful and spectacular designs on many skateboards.
In addition to their Henna Skateboard designs, the Tuesday PM older girls have expressed their feelings about their teacher when they got together to paint some henna designs on her hands & arms. Expressing how they felt about their teacher’s stay while she was at Skateistan, they showed her the appreciation they have for all her hard work and efforts and wishing her best of luck in the future before her departure from Skateistan.
