Last-Minute Skateboards Arrive from Germany

With international Go Skateboarding Day (GSD) just around the corner, Skateistan’s priority was having as many skateboards available to the kids as possible. We were extremely fortunate because an opportunity to receive a shipment from Germany presented itself at the last minute.

With the help of the German Police Project Team (GPPT) we were able to get skateboard equipment to Kabul for the first time in one year.

Theeve truck company and Zero skateboards donated enough equipment for 22 complete skateboard setups in time for GSD. Urban Supplies distribution company in Germany was kind enough to throw in extra trucks and wheels, and rushed to get the product where it needed to be with very short notice.

Special thanks to the GPPT in Kabul for taking care of logistics on both ends, as well as Muller & Partner GmbH international logistics company for assisting with transport of the equipment. Skateistan deeply appreciates the speed, efficiency and professionalism of all involved, which allowed us to provide 80 skateboards to over 140 Afghan boys and girls for the 2nd annual Go Skateboarding Day.
